Are you an experienced Civil Project Manager looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity in the vibrant city of Christchurch? We are seeking an experienced individual to join our dynamic team as a Civil Project Manager. As a key player in our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of heavy civil projects, contributing to the growth and success of our company while making a significant impact on the infrastructure of Christchurch and the South Island.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against milestones, making adjustments as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Prepare and present project status reports, updates, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil works with a leading civil contractor
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
